It is often said that funding more money in support of athletics than in support of arts has positive impacts on a nation. This is because people prefer appreciating some art works and arts are essential and important factors in most nations.
However, I strongly support the idea of spending more money on athletics is much better than on arts. This is because not only can it maintain and develop public health in a nation, but it can create better image internationally.
Here are two specific reasons for that.
To begin with, Money spent on athletics can maintain and improve public health in a country. The reason for that is the money will be spent on creating better sports facilities and services. Thus, people will be able to have an easy access to these facilities and this can lead them to stay fit.
Some experts verified that the number of people who exercised have been rising, since free gym was established in 1991. In other words, People who did not exercise for some financial problems are able to use these free facilities. So, they can build and strengthen body system such as, circulation of blood, muscles, diabetes and reduce chronic disease, especially hypertension.
In addition, Spending money on athletics can help in creating a positive image internationally. It means that it can provide a variety of top quality facilities and best training. The korean soccer team hire a renowned coach and received top quality training in preparation for the World Cup 2002.
As a result, the team played exceptionally and surprised people around the world. Even after the World Cup, people still have a positive image of Korea and now Korea is well-known to the world.
In conclusion, I definitely believe that government should fund more money on athletics and facilities including free gym than arts in order to maintain public health and create a positive image around the world.
All in all, there is a reason why exercising people are more health than those who are not exercise. A well-equipped facilities are in direct proportion to funding more money.
