People have their own point of view in a relationship. Some people consider telling the truth as the most important factors between one another while others believe that sometimes lying is needed. Though telling the truth would make people be honesty and thoughful to others, I disagree with the statement for several reasons.
First of all, it is true that people live their life surrounded a variety of occasions. From time to time, certain circumstances require people to tell a lie. Although there are lots of unjust and improper lies that people making, of course, people tell a lie which have good intentions as well. I believe that even though lying to others would ruin others' feelings, telling good-intended lies would helpful to form relationships more firmly. From my experience, for example, there was a friend of mine who were innocent of a theft. However, my teacher started to scold her with an uncertain doubt. At that moment, I was willing to help her with good-intended lies. At the end, I could build closer relationship with her than ever.
Also, people should have an ability of coping with various situations. Telling a lie is one fo the useful ways to manage unexpected circumstances. Actually, people often use the method of lying to cope with inevitable situations. For instance, a waitress in a fine restaurant would tell a lie to its customers that the ordered dishes will be served immediately. If the waitress told that the dishes are not actually going to served at once, the customers would be upset and think that the restaurant's service is poor. In this situation, telling a trivial lie plays an importnat role to managing a thorny stiuation.
Consquently, even if it is generall that people think telling a lie of being undisirable, it is true that a lie have several positive points as well. People would rescue others who are in problems by telling good-intended lies. Moreover, sometimes it is wise choices for people to tell a lie since it allows people be more flexible to solve problems. |
