One of the biggest problems the youth these days encounter is that they are both physically and mentally so feeble that they easily give up what they aim to do. Even though the goal they want to attain determines their whole life, they tend to just leave it out. However, as many historical figures show, to give up is not a correct answer for all problems. I strongly believe that never giving up helps me to achieve my goal because success comes after patience and the expression “never give up” invigorates people to achieve their goals till the end.
To begin with, patience is the mother of success. Nobody can succeed in what they are doing at the first time. Failure always takes place during procedure and many hardships rather strengthen my determination. Yet, if a person is impatient and merely gives up enduring those obstacles, he cannot ever experience the mirth of attaining his goal. “Never give up” is a key factor to succeed in reaching a goal. To illustrate this point, Helen A. Keller is a good example. Helen was inherently handicapped in eyes and ears. Many did not expect her to grow up like a normal person, and she was quite abnormal in her youth. After meeting a good teacher, she learned to never give up and kept trying to get over her disabilities. Finally, she became a venerable woman whom many young students want to resemble throughout centuries.
Furthermore, the expression “never, never give up” has a magnificent effect on everyone. This means that whoever are in despair or despondent, they can rejuvenate themselves, repeating the expression “never give up!” Not only that, when a goal appears too far from now or many circumstances encumber a challenger to attain the goal, the expression encourages him to keep trying and working for the goal. From my personal experience, the expression significantly helped me. When my family climbed Mt. Halla, which is the highest mountain in South Korea, I was a stumbling block to my family because I could not keep pace with rest of my families. About two-hours away from the starting point, I unintendedly fell down and could not get up. At that time, all my families kept telling me, “never give up.” With their encouragement, I could resume climbing and finished it safely. If I did not hear the expression “never give up”, I would give up climbing and never have the memory of Mt. Halla’s summit.
To conclude, nothing is easy in the world and nobody is a superman, who can do everything with ease. The most important thing is not to give up in pursuit of final goal in spite of many tribulations and agony ahead of me. This is because “never give up” makes me a successful man and helps me to achieve my goal. As old saying goes, no pain, no gain. Never giving up always rewards.
