There is an
ongoing debate over whether or not young people enjoy more than older people.
Some people believe that since young people are restricted to do some
activities such as drinking alcohol, older people more freely enjoy their life.
However, I’m against this stance and present my reasons below.
To begin with,
it makes difficult for adults to spare time for their enjoyment because their
routine life is very busy. They usually have to get up early in the morning to
go to their workplace and are able to come home at night. Since they are
exhausted and stressed out, it is almost impossible to take part in leisure
activities. Also, their weekends are not quite different from their weekdays
because they should take care of their kids and do the household chores. Thus,
they are less likely to enjoy their life than young people.
However, even
assuming the above reasons are plausible, some may argue that since they are
adults, they can enjoy anything they want if they have enough capability. Yet,
I still put an emphasis on my idea because there is one more important matter
to consider.
Adults must take
responsible for their behavior and there are so many things they are in charge
of. Older people should be responsible for their family living and their kids
until they become adults which are heavy on adults. That is, they are carrying
so many burdens. Also, adults as a role model for young people, are required to
do certain behaviors. To illustrate this point, my father has never shown me
his weak point. He never drinks alcohol thoughtlessly and smoke in front of me.
Moreover he always tries to be diligent and has a tendency to dedicate himself
for our family.
To sum up,
everyone may hold different position on this issue. However, all things
considered, I firmly believe that young people enjoy their life more than older
people. This is because older people has less time to enjoy their life and are
in charge of so many things both in the family and in the society. |
