In the rapidly changing world, countries tend to collaborate with each other when they face into difficulties. It is obvious that the process of globalization is accelarated in largely parts of the world. Some people point out that engaging other countries lead developing countries to be recklessly attacked by developed countries, which means developed countries force them to open their markets. On the contrary, I strongly believe that embracing other countries helps countries in the long run in the aspects of development of every single country and solutions regarding global problems.
To begin with, when it comes to countries' level, engaging other countries enable countries to develop their industry. If countries share their ideas with other countries, they are able to accumulate their information and knowledges from more developed countries. In other words, opening thier markets and exchaging ideas eventually grow up all countries that embrace other countries. For example, there was not enough resources and information in Korea right after occuring tragic 6.25 war. As we tried to import advanced enginnering skills and supported students who are willing to learn in abroad, our technology and economy drastically have developed in a very short period. If we had not engaged other countries, Korea would have not learned and be improved.
Second of all, as for global level, cooperation among countries absolutely helps to solve many complicated problems happening on earth. In other words, through discussions and conferences, global probelms are easily solved and dealt with more efficiently. In current days, countries get together and discuss regarding energy problems, global financial crisis and wars. To be more specific, UN and G20 conference are playing a vital role to solve the global problems. Unless they exist, nobody can gurantee that all countries can come up with solutions by themselves.
To sum up, engaging other countries is unavoidable so that all countries develop altogether and deal with problems of the earth. For those reasons, I am strongly in favor of the argumentation.
