Many people think that the government should invest in every fields of science so that the technologies of the country can develop in every aspect. However, I strongly disagree with this statement, and there are some obvious reasons why the government should only spend money on potential parts. One is that investing in every part isn’t very practical and can be a waste of money. Also, the government should spend the extra money saved improving the public welfare.
To begin with, spending money in every part of science can be a waste of money when the study is not successful. You might say that the government should spend money on different parts of science in order to support the insufficient parts and improve in all the aspects. However, it's not true and I think that there is more possibility of failure than success. For example, Thomas Edison, a famous inventor, failed so many times that everyone jeered him. Even one of the greatest scientists of the history failed a lot shows that success does not always happen. Therefore, it would be a great misuse of money if the government were to sponsor every fields of science.
사실 저거도 좀 꺼림칙하긴한데.. 그냥저냥 나도 딱히 생각나는게없음 ㄷㄷ
To begin with, it is far better to invest money after analysing benefits and loss. Some may argue that supportin all the parts of science would eventually bring about the development of the whole. However, as the science history proves, it is usually by chance to innovate from the old to the new. Even Thomas Edison, one of the greatest scientists in the history, had failed more than thousand times to invent the little light bulb. Since the annual budget is always limited and the government aims to manage the country in efficient way, the government should analyse pros and cons of its investment and make a wise decision not to waste the money.
In addition to that, public welfare is a more urgent problem of the world than scientific experiments are. If the government focuses too much on science, there might not be enough funding to improve the public welfare. 뭔가이것은...보통 경제성장에 너무 신경쓰면 복지에 소홀해진다고들 하지 않나... <

To conclude, sponsoring every part of science can’t always bring satisfactory and successful results. Also, finding solutions to the real problems of the citizens is a more important matter than funding science experiments unless they are very potential. Thus, I think that the government should only invest in potential fields of science, not every one of them.
Government stands for its citizens. They spend the money they received from its citizens. If it invest it in certain part, it should be more practical ones rather than studies for studies. In this way, the government is able to avoid its waste and also develop technologies applicable to market directly.
