Many people suffer from a lot of stress in the modern civilzation. It is essential for them to have their own way to ease their stress. The method of stress control varies according to people's life style. For example, someone who can afford to purchase goods and services for stress relexation might go to travel vacations. On the other hand, someone who finds economic and quick ways to relieve stress might choose more simple alternatives such as exercise and talking with friends. In my case, cleaning the house is the best way to get rid of my stress for three reasons.
Firstly, cleaning helps me forget the bad things which are causing stress. It is important that not only how to think but also when to think in order to relieve stress. People extremely stressed out often stick to negative thinkings repeatedly. This phenomenon leads their stress to be amplified. In this situation, not thinking about the issue is better than finding a solution. Thus, the wise people in olden asian cultures used to praticed how to stop their perpetual anger. As for me, cleaning the house is a tool to help forgetting the cause of anger. My bad thinking disappears spontaneously when I wash windows, tables and etc.
Secondly, I believe cleaning the house is the most economic and quickest way to relieve stress. What suprises me, in the vacation season, is the fact that people have much burden on their shoulders trying to resolve their stress. Paradoxically, people spend tremendous amounts of money and time on their vacation, which necessarily means that they must return to work to make up for the expences. Contrasted with it, cleaning the house requires little money and time. I can use this technic in any time and any place.
Thirdly, cleaning is a contructive way of stress management. Many people shows bad babits like overeating or breaking a LCD monitor under severe stress condition. However, the results of cleaning are beneficial in many ways. Have you ever seen a room after you have just finished cleaning? It offers you the feeling of small achievement. Moreover, neat arrangement itself encourages the calmness of the mind.
All in all, I think cleaning is the best way to relieve stress. Through cleaing, I can instantly blow out the cause of stress without a lot of effort. There is nothing better than cleaning as far as efficiency and contructive results are concerned, in my belief. |
