With the help of the Internet, students can learn more effectively.
Evolution of the Internet has been remarkably rapid and successful that has brought convenience to society. Wherever and whenever people can access the Internet on which they can find whatever they need. Some points out negative aspects such flourishing sensual material which might hinder students from studying, however with the development of software to ban them, I strongly agree the Internet is a great helper to students for their effective education because the Internet saves students’ time and provides the best information without considerable cost.
First of all, the Internet provides an easy access to the information students need. With the help of search engines, students who have no professional knowledge on the Internet can grasp materials they require in order to do research. If had not students the web, they would have spent enormous amount of time to find information they need by looking for related books in the library, searching the exact information in books, copying them and so on. When I was a freshman in university, the internet service was not provided at all. Back then, it took hours just to get sufficient information to do papers. Finding books was very time consuming, and I often felt that there are all books stored in right order in the library but the book I look for. But after military service for 26 months, the Internet was popular. Soon I found it is useful, particularly helps me save time when I do papers. Thanks to the Internet, my grades got a lot better, and I got scholarship several times during university education.
Also, the Internet can lead students to the best information with minimal cost compared to buying books. This is because the information on the Internet is built by many people without charging. For example, Wikipedia, the online encyclopedia proved to be more variety, up to date as well as accurate more than noted Britanica encyclopedia. One of my professors always encourage us to look up Wikipedia to further study about his lectures. Once I researched about the Roman empire, Wikipedia provided wide range of information about the emperors and it greatly helped my research. But I did not cost at all using the web site but the cost of maintaining the Internet connection service.
In conclusion, the Internet is absolutely helpful for students’ studies since it saves them from time-consuming process to get materials as well as it offers the best information with minimal cost. All in all, the Internet assisted learning can greatly benefit students.
