▶ Your Answer : It is disputable whether children should be required to help with household tasks as soon as they are able to do so. Depending on one's background and personal experiences, one's perspective on this issue can significantly differ. That being said, in my opinion, I advocate that children should be asked to help with household duties as soon as they are able to do so for the following reasons.
To begin with, they are also the members of their family. To be specific, they ought to do household chores with their own responsibility. By trying to do so, they should carry their weights as sons or daughters of parents.
For example, my personal experience can be used to validate the claim above. When I was young, my father told me that I don't have to do household affair since I'm young. However my mother disagreed with the idea. She said that I'm mature enough, so I should fulfill my duties as a member of family. Therefore, I could fully understand what she said. As a result, chlidren should carry out their obligations as family members.
Furthermore, they can feel a sense of accomplishment. This is due to the fact that they do the work of theirselves. With the result of what they achieved, they can also feel rewarded.
Take my younger brother's experience, for instance. The first house work he did was cleaning his room. He underwent a lot of hardships with the work but soon he adjusted and finished perfectly. After he finished, I asked how he feel and he said he proud of himself. This experience was a really fulfilling to him. Consequently, children can feel a sense of achievement.
In conclusion, I am highly convinced that children should be forced to assist with household errands as soon as they are able to do so for the two crucial reasons mentioned above. |
