Those who travel to regions that they have not visited before have a tendency to pay their money for visiting museums. There are a lot of reasons why they do that, but I will explain my idea by presenting two reasons as follows.
First of all, people can learn various kinds of information about the region that they visit because museums have many artifacts. A lot of archeologists make a surmise related to regions’ history by examining artifacts which was excavated from there. Even though ordinary people cannot find out information as much as they do, viewing architects in museums helps tourists guess what characteristics the region has to a certain degree. Furthermore, artifacts are usually innovative inventions at that time, which makes children who have seen such things be struck with the grandeur of the country’s technology. For example, when I was in high school, I had an opportunity to visit Gyeongju which was an ancient capital of South Korea. My parents paid entrance fee to the museum and I could see diverse kinds of inventions. Especially, there was Cheomseongdae which was established to observe the movement of stars. With thought of how to build it and use it, I became proud of my country’s scientific power. If I had not visited the museum, I would not have been interested in our nation’s history associated with science.
Second, compared with contents which tourists can experience, expenses paid for entrance to museums are much cheaper than other sources for tourism. This is because museums generally are operated with the help of governments. In addition, since there is no limit to the maximum time, they can spend time looking all over there as much as they want. Tourists who visit regions individually have a tendency to waste money seeing the sights which they have searched in the Internet. However, explanations and sceneries written on the Internet tend to be exaggerated by only showing the best sceneries there. In addition, there are so many people who overcharge tourists who do not know prices in detail. Meanwhile, price for entrance to museums is fixed by government and spending time there is usually satisfied because contents are already verified by experts and many people who visited there.
In conclusion, based on what I have just mentioned, I am convinced that museums are the best place for tourists to visit at first. |
