There are different opinions regarding whether a decision with a lot of consideration makes a better result than a quick decision. It is a widely accepted fact that immediate decisions are effective in solving problems that people meet unexpectedly. Even so, I strongly believe that it is better for people to decide what they want to do after taking various things into consideration.
First, a decision with a lot of consideration allows people to make the most reasonable decision because they can use various kinds of information for long-term periods. While a quick decision has more possibilities for people to regret about it when compared with other options that they could have choose, a decision with consideration reduces these possibilities because it enables people to choose the best option among various ones. For example, when I went to a shopping center to buy a computer, I immediately decided to buy one without any consideration. After a few days, I saw an advertisement which was selling the computer that I bought at a quarter the price that I paid for it. Even on the Internet, I found out that it was being sold much more cheaply. If I had taken various options into consideration for a long time before I made the decision, my regret would not have been as big as I had.
Second, careful decision making makes it possible for people to develop abilities to handle problems because continuing to considerate how to solve problems is helpful for them to solve these by themselves. People these days tend to make a decision without any thought about problems, by which they often fall into a crisis. However, those who learn how to handle problems through continuous consideration have better ways to solve these when they have to find out solutions. The more crises people have fallen in, the more effective solutions they have. This is because they have had more opportunities to considerate problems continuously to free themselves from their difficulty.
In conclusion, based on what I have just mentioned, a careful decision is more beneficial than an immediate decision in the sense that not only is it helpful for people to choose better options but also allows them to learn how to handle problems. |
