Those who cannot afford to hire a housekeeper might find household chores bothering, for example, they might think doing dishes, doing laundry, and vacuuming are irritating. However, people who have children might easily allocate household tasks with them. Therefore, I strongly believe that children should do housework as soon as they are able to do so. In that way, children could learn how to organize and recognize the importance of responsibility.
Being able to organize materials in the right place is generally necessary for people who desire to succeed. One benefit of making children do house chores is that children could learn how to live a efficiently arranged life since they fit housework into schedule. For example, when cleaning one's room, one might realize that he has to clean small mess first or he will have difficulty in cleaning the entire mess. In this way, children might pre-arrange what they are going to do first, for example, cleaning the dust from the ceiling and vacuum. Even in their life, they might know what to do time-effectively.
Furthermore, children could learn the significance of responsibility by completing assigned chores. For example, when a child is given an assignment of doing dishes, whether he likes it or not, he may finish dishes because most young children fear punishment for not following their parents. However, after time passes by, they might naturally grasp a sense of responsibility, and this would be extremely aiding when they grow up. Additionally, after finishing assigned house work, children might feel accomplished and happy when their parents reward them with money or compliments. This could help them to be more responsible when they grow up.
As children grow up, it becomes "tough" for parents to correct them as they develop stronger characters. Therefore, parents should, perhaps, force their offspring to do house work in order to teach them to be responsible and organized, which are essential characteristics to prosper in this modern world. |
