There are many controversies whether it is necessary for people to purchase domesticated goods produced by their countries’ companies despite of the high cost rather than buying imported goods from foreign countries. Although it is true that patriotic consumption can considerably contribute making an activation of domestic economy, I believe that taking an interest on purchasing goods of foreign countries can bring a positive effect on a person’s life. In this essay, I will present briefly two reasons to support my answer.
Most of all, it is not necessary for people to stick with domesticated goods in that all consumers in one’s country have right to buy cheap and good products regardless of their origin. To illustrate, when it comes to finding goods for people’s need, most consumers tend to consider choosing imported items if domesticated products do not suit his or her needs. By ranking imported items eclectically, those are able to extend their areas of purchasing cheaper products without making an unwise decision. However, insisting one’s persistence to purchase domesticated products that have not been in good qualities may force customers injured greatly from refunding, repairing, and much more. In addition, given similar prices between two same products can help customers decide a wise decision when purchasing domesticated or foreign products. In fact, since the goods have provided with similar prices, there are absolute no need to purchase domesticated goods instead of buying foreign merchandises. In this regard, people should definitely prefer buying imported goods instead of domesticated items.
Moreover, purchasing locally-produced products can spoil local companies in that the patterns of purchasing domesticated goods prevent companies from developing their qualities. To specify this, those consumers relentlessly purchasing domesticated products without any reasons may create a serious problem for manufacturers and their economies. In fact, it is true that many enterprisers can benefit themselves by making a lot of profit; however, without relentless effort to improve the qualities of their goods and services, they drove a wide range of consumers away. Since most manufactures deceive customers to purchase their own products for their own benefits, some consumers prefer to buy important merchandises from foreign countries due to their trustworthiness and reliance of using high-quality components.
I strongly disagree with the statement that most people should purchase goods made by their own countries at a higher price than purchasing products elsewhere, on account of reasons I have mentioned above: Not only it helps consumers to purchase goods at a lower price with good qualities but also improve the local economies by forcing them to create more better services and goods. |
