▶ Your Answer :
It is always
difficult to fathom what others think, but my opinion in regard to this topic
is adamant. I believe that traveling abroad is better than traveling in one’s
own country for the following reasons.
To begin with,
traveling overseas shows outstanding effectiveness in improving social skills.
This is because we can meet people with a variety of cultural background. By
visiting diverse countries and interact with people with different
nationalities, people can develop their sociability and be able to communicate well
with other people. For example, my cousin went to a trip to Europe last year. He
used to be very shy, so he tended to avoid meeting new people. However, after
going to a trip with his friends and bump into strangers from different
countries, he got used to having conversations with new people. Thus, he became
very sociable, which made me surprised how his trip to abroad has totally
changed his personality.
On top of that,
we can broaden our perspective through traveling to another country. While
traveling overseas, we learn a lot about a new country by communicating with
foreigners, and visiting historical and local places in person. Therefore, it
gives an opportunity to understand a new environment that we have never
experienced, which eventually helps broaden our minds. According to a research
conducted by a renowned professor called Morgan Brown from Carnegie Mellon
University, people with overseas experience are likely to work well with people
with diverse backgrounds and handles broad scale of projects up to global size better
than those who do not have any overseas experience at all. Likewise, this
research proves that my argument is compelling.
To sum up, I
believe my explanations above sufficiently prove the advantages of traveling to
a different country. Obviously, the significance of improving social skills and
broadening our perspectives cannot be overemphasized enough.
