In modern society, it is obvious that people can have many chances to improve themselves thanks to improved education system. However, despite of it's advantage improved education system causes a side-effect. The problem is that there are too many people with excellent ability in our society. Thus, people should compete everyday in order to survive in competition. On the other hand, people were easy to succeed in the past because sharing information among people was difficult.
First of all, in this competitive society, people have to compete with other people to succeed. While in the past people worked in primary industry such as agriculture and fishing after graduating from high school, in modern society, most people get into college in order to work in established fields. In the perspective that university graduates are easier to succeed than farmers and fishers, too many university graduates means that they have to compete in a more fierce way. For example, according to a recent report, for last three years, over eighty percent of high school graduates enter college and ninety percent of them graduated from college. Thus, naturally, graduates who try to enroll companies are much greater even though workers that companies want to employ are limited. In order to win in this competition, college students have to spend most of their time to prepare many certification required to enter companies.
In addition, in the past, sharing information was difficult while now, it is very easy to gain information. Recently, when people find some unique and distinct items for their businesses, they have to check internet web-site. This is because one special idea on the internet easily spread out through internet users. Thus, it is difficult for people to find business items that everyone ever did not know. My old sister is good example that demonstrate this. After graduating from high school, she wanted to start restaurant business which was her dream since she was young. So, she started to find new and fresh food items and even she took a trip to discover unique food. However, despite of her effort, food items that she had found were already used in food market. As a result. she abandoned restaurant business and became a English teacher. |
