Some people think that advertising helps us enhance our quality of life by informing us of new products, whereas others hold an opposite view. As for me, I would like to side with the former people because advertisement provides people with a lot of information and makes companies to offer lower price to customers by competing with each other.
To begin with, advertisement enhances our quality of life by providing a lot of fresh information. I do understand that advertisement is not always reliable since it can be a bit exaggerated. It, however, seems to me that the benefits of advertisement eclipse this slight disadvantage. To illustrate my view point, people can find out information of products pretty easily through advertisements. Companies provide information about the goods with people the easiest way. Thus, we can save a lot of time to search. Plus, people can get knowledge of trends by advertisements. Some companies advertise their products using dancing or jokes which is well-known among the people. This is one of the main reasons why I agree with the statement that advertising helps to improve our quality of life by informing us of new products.
In addition, advertisement makes companies offer lower price to their customers by competing with each other. To exemplify what I mean, companies always have to consider the similar products of others. When people see the advertisements of the two products of the different companies, they might compare to each products. In the process, the price is one of the most important things to compare. Hence, each company starts to cut down the price to appear the customers. As a result, the companies compete with each other and people can get a product with a good price. This is another reason why I support the idea that advertisements enhance our quality of life.
Taking all these into account, advertisement helps people to get to know about new products by informing and make companies offer great deal price to customers by competing with each other. There is no doubt in my mind that advertising is beneficial to us. |
