▶ Your Answer : Some people might think that grading students could not help their studies. However, in my opinion, raking students with their outputs would enhance learning for the following subsequent reasons.
To begin with, grading can give them strong spur toward being taught. To be specific, students are able to be stimulated to study on their own. This is because grades could be regarded as their effort and ability. Thus, students in low grades would have chance to study harder than before to prove that they are superior. For instance, I will talk about my experience to illustrate this point. When I was in elementary school, there was no grading system since that was the school that government had encouraged not to test students by official exams. I had no motive to study, which made me never study even read a book in a year. However, when I went to middle schoo, which had grading system, I cound not help have low grades at my first test. This was simply because I had not studied in my elementary school. Then, I was so shocked that I started to plan my study plan and I implemented all my schedule completely. Consequently, I could have high grade at final exam. From my experience, I realized the grading system stimulates students to study harder.
On top of that, giving students ranks can make a competitive atmosphere to study among students. What this means is that if there is ranking system for their test results, they try to be more positive to learn to earn higher ranks. This atmosphere can promote the avarage of their study ability, which help each student's grade be increased. A study was conducted by the Korea Education Association to determine whether the implement of exams could affect the student's attitude in classrooms. There were two school monitored. The first one was a school that had grading system with exams. The other one did not have the grading one, let alone exam. After the researchers tracked the each 200 students of two schools oever a 2 year period, they testes all of them by the educational achieving test authrized by the Korea Education Board. What they found was intriguing. The students of the first school had much higher grades than the other ones. This was because they had been always struggle to gain high scores. Also the grading system trained them more competitive for tests. This study demonstrates that having students with grade help them to put more effort to study.
To sum up, grading students can give stilmulus to them to study and also provide more passionate surroundings. In thie regard, I hold the opinion that ranking students assist students to study more enthusiastic.
