Today, we can see a lot of advertisements in anywhere such as TV, streets, newspaper and so on. And some people believe that advertisements cannot change consumer's mind toward products because they already have firm opinion about products. However, I firmly believe that advertisements can change consumers mind about products because it allow products to look better for the following reasons. First, advertising can make consumer having a positive perspective on their products. In addition, it gives products faith.
To begin with, we can classify the consumer in two types. First type is that they have an opinion whether positive or negative about products. Second type is they are neutral about products. What I want to focus on is that second type people can be transferred to first type one who have positive mind about product. Because they are ignorant of products, advertisement can play an important role as a good product messenger. For example, there are consumers who don't know well about cell-phone. When they have to purchase a cell-phone, they chose familiar things because they see that product a lot through TV advertisements. As this illustrate well, advertising situate the product in consumers mind on positive position
Moreover, advertising can allow products to look more reliability. Most of model in advertisements are people who are experts in their fields. So when people see products, they can imagine the professional image and they have a belief about that product. That’s mean that consumers can have a faith about product through their model. For instance, if a economist who won Nobel prize in the fields of economy advertise a financial products like fund, the consumer see that product as notion of Nobel Prize in economy.
In conclusion, advertising make products look better. First, advertising product can substitute neutral consumer to favor consumer. Moreover, they endow products with more reliable view. For this reason, the advertisements play a pivotal role about selling the products.
