The issue is whether business employers should hire employees for their entire lives or not. Although employees want their businesses to hire them for their entire lives, I believe that there are some shortcomings in the perspective of view of businesses and my view can be greatly substantiated by the reasons addressed below.
First of all, more intelligent and young people are needed for the further development of company. In other words, the world is developming faster than before and greater than before. So to catch up with this development or to keep up with this technology, more intelligent people and young people are needed. Old people tend to have stuborn and limited thought; thus, it is difficult to change their mind and accept new things. As they are getting old, their brain doesn't function well as they were young and also it is hard to throw away old knowledge and accept new information. However, no matter what, the world is growing quickly and their technology is developing more. Therefore, there is a limit to develop company if businesses hire employees for their entire lives.
Secondly, there is a limit to our physical body. To put it again, even though people want to work hard mentally, their physical body is getting old; thus, there is a limit to work. If businesses decided to hire workers for their entire lives, the problem that they need to consider is that our five sense will not function properly for their entire lives. As we are getting older, our vision, smell, hearing, feeling, and touching skill would become dull. If this happens, many dangerous accident will happen in the company and the quality and the quantity of the products would be low. For that reason, businesses should hire new people who can work more efficient and quicker than the old people.
Some might argue employees are needed to be hire for their entire lives because they are already used to the works, they skills would be quicker and efficient. However, as they are getting old or if the way of working is changed, the result is different. Young people have more ability to adapt to a new environment well and they have passions for their future goal. Thus, I believe that there are some shortcomings when businesses hire employees for their entire lives. |
