People say that one's looking shows many factors such as occupation, wealth and sometimes deiligence. So some of them believe that a person's appearance is more important for successf than having good ideas. This belief leads many customers to spend a lot of money on buying nice suits, accessaries and cosmetics. However,I disagree with the notion because the impact of surferficial charming for one's success is very limited. Moreover, true success could be accomplished with brilliant ideas.
One's looks and dress are only a part of the person.Attractive appearance help a person get attentions and credits from others. However, success needs much more resources than that. It requires various factors such as one's efforts, intelligence, creativeness and so on. Many CEOs of companies and sports stars achieved their lite time goal with strong will and distincive capabilities. Their stock holders and fans do not matter their appearances. Even in entertainment professions, we have seen many beautiful and handsome singers without talent for singing just ended up their career after enjoying a short-period of fame.
Furthermore, innovative ideas and inventions have real power to change one's life and to create value in society. True success of a life is not merely to get much money and reputation. It means establising achievements to benefit other people and society. A CEO of Ahnlab, Mr Ahn is a good example to show a meaningful success. 20 years ago, he developed of anti-virus vaccine to prevent new kinds of computer viruses and distributed his vaccine to individuals for free. Thanks to his efforts, many personal computers in Korea could saved from severe viruses while in many countries experienced national malfunctioning of the internet. Now he is the most repected CEO who has ethics and ideas. On the other hand, with nice looking what can one contribute to a society?
In brief, good ideas allow individuasl to accomplish one's success rather than nice looks and dress. Thus it is quite natural that o nurture your inside is more important than to improving your appearance. |
