It is generally said that people living today are well of more than people in the past. Some people might disagree with the statement regarding fierce competition and environmental pollution today. I, however, strongly believe living today is much more comfortable and easier thanks to the technology development.
First and foremost, the development of technology enables people to be free from lots of redundant and laborious works. Everyone knows that the most tedious things such as summing hundreds of numbers and cutting the thousands of woods are handled by machines. Outputs of technology are used not only at the industry, but also at home. In the past, it was a general picture that people did the laundry in the winter by freezing water, traveled by walking, and communicated only by a paper letter. Nowadays, however, people are used to laundering by machine, going even abroad by a flight, and keeping touch with friends or relatives by the internet. No one can deny that these technologies amazingly have changed our life more convenient.
Furthermore, technology makes our life far more enjoyable than the past. By using machines, we can save the time and use it to entertain ourselves. In other words, no longer do we have to work ceaselessly. My grand mother sometimes say that she spent all of the time on keeping the charcoals to fire, preparing meal, making clothing, and other all the chores. However, my mother, an elementary teacher, simply works from nine to five. After work, she enjoys swimming and playing drum, free from all of her works. The reason why she can do these stuffs is that she does not have to be tied with chores because machines in home are working for every chore in our house. All she has to do is programming these machines to start working in the appropriate time. This implicates that people nowadays do not have to contribute their time to doing works and can spend their time to enjoy leisure time.
To summarize what I mentioned above, living today is much more convenient on account of the development technology. If it were not for machines, we would’ve been suffered from laborious works and couldn’t have enjoyed our past time. All matters considered, it is copious that living today is more comfortable and easier than when my grand parents were children. |
