People often neglect impact of sports for individual because they think sports is just nothing more than entertainment. However, I believe sports not only grant enjoy but also they are necessary components in our life which provide variety of lessons to survive in this modern society. The rational behind this is that they teach how to cooperate with people and accept their failure.
To begin with, cooperation skill is regarded as key to success these days. This ability not only teach how to work together for common goal but also help to socialize with others. By playing sports, every team members aim for the same goal, leading the team to win, and communicate for better performance. For instance, when I was rugby player in high school, I had an opportunity to play game with neighboring school which had last rugby league winning team. To beat the team, all my team members tried our best by practicing whole month. We discussed for the best strategies and lived together for a while to build strong bond among us. Consequently, all our efforts paid off by winning the match. I was so proud of myself and learned how to cooperate and interact with others.
In addition, playing sports instruct us to accept failure when we lose. Though some people might say losing sports negatively affect one to become timid, however, actually, losing game help players to be mature and take failure with ease. Thesedays, many overprotected children tend to disregard failure when they foud the result is unpleasing. Playing sports not only teach them a sense of accomplishment buy also acceptance for losing and provide chance to reflect themselves for better performance. | |
