In this age of globalization, many immigrants have conflicts whether or not they follow a new culture’s traditions. As the old saying goes, “In Rome, do as the Romans do.” It means we should accept new cultures or traditions in other countries where they are. Therefore, I strongly believe that following the traditions in new countries allows people there much easier and also get a job easier.
To begin with, admitting new cultures render immigrants’ life easier. People all over the world tend to cling to their cultures. However, in case of new incomers who don’t follow the culture at all, natives mind getting alone with those people. On the other hand, when they try to adopt and learn those cultures or languages, native people pleasantly help them. To illustrate this idea, women in Arab veil their whole skin except for their faces. When even visitors don’t follow this rule, habitats in this land make them perturb and suffer from harassment. If you adapt this culture, you would be much easier to fit in there.
On top of that, assimilating into new cultures provide immigrants with many opportunities to get a job. One person who illustrates this idea is my older sister. She went to Australia to study English. She wanted to know their languages as well as cultures and tried to learn and accept those things. As a result, she got a nice job by recommendation by a manager. If she had rejected all the things and cleaved her own culture, she would not have had difficulty in finding job. From this experience, it is evident that fitting into new cultures is significant to have a job.
To sum up, I wholeheartedly believe that those who visit new countries need to assimilate into their traditions or cultures. Accordingly, they could be comfortable to live there and get a good position. |
