Most people probably thought whether universities have to
invest their sports activities as much money as their libraries or not. Some
people might agree with the statement. However, I disagree with it and believe
that universities should not be funded only one source. Although, sports
activities can help students’ health, all students in a college do not use
their college’s sports facilities. In addition, university’s fund should be
depended their students’ requirement.
First of all, it is true that some students do not enjoy
playing sports in their university. In the specific, most of female
students do not want to use their tuition for improving sports activities
because they use the facilities just few times for studying in their
university. They might want to invest their tuition for their amenities such as
girl-only rest areas, libraries, or etc. This means university’s money is not
their own. It’s for students.
Therefore, a university must not invest sports
activities as same amount of money as their libraries.
Also, universities should spend their money on right
areas. They must not be biased investigation. Colleges of engineering should
spend their money for improving their college’s facilities like computers,
machines, and etc for their students. Or maybe, old-fashioned colleges should
invest for rebuilding their structures. For example, the university that hasn’t
any area to build new sports structure must buy any area of land first. It
seems like waste of their money. They can connect any specialized sports
companies that have lots of sports structures near the university without
buying new area and provide their students cheaper fee.
In conclusion, even though improving their sports
activities can help students’ health, universities’ money should be spend for
their students. Not only do not like all students playing sports in their
university, but universities should also spend their money right areas.
Therefore, I object with this argument and strongly support that universities
should not use their money sports activities as much as their libraries.
