Human cultures have been civilizing rapidly. They have developed economy, technology, and society. Thus, the global society is becoming more and more complex. Therefore, it is evident that there are various subjects to talk about, and we inform these matters through newspaper, television, and many other sources. However, the information that they provide could be untrustworthy because they negotiate with companies, and they exaggerate information in order to attract attention from people. To begin with, major corporations often convince reporters to deliberately post articles that will affect them positively, and the reporters get compensated. No one will refuse the beneficial offer from companies. In addition, the companies also get goods, so it’s beneficial for both the reporters, and the firms. To illustrate this point, I have a cousin who works in a news corporation, and one of his co-workers got an offer from one of the biggest companies that if he criticizes the rival company, he will receive a big amount of money. His co-worker had to criticize a company that they were competing against. However, the colleague of my cousin had to exaggerate the trivial fact to a serious one so that the reputation of the rival company falls. Moreover, many sources of information such as television, internet, and radio tend to exaggerate the information to attract people’s attention. In order to be more profitable, they(?누구를 말하는거임) must increase the numbers of the audience. For example, my friend and I attended a soccer stadium to watch a match. Two teams that were going to compete each other were a rival; therefore, it was really exciting. As I expected as soon as the game started the field players overwhelmed 60,000 fans with their teamwork, and dribbling. However, a lot of fouls were committed by players ,and one player was sent off because he committed a serious foul. Anyway, we enjoyed the match. Next day, I checked the internet news and found out that three team members were sent off in that soccer match. The number of viewers of the article was over 50,000. It was a clear exaggeration. Reporters made the article’s title look so interesting and curious in order to increase the number of readers.so eventually, people will read the article. In conclusion, I strongly agree that many sources of news and information is untrustworthy, because companies and news corporation make deals, and reporters often exaggerate information to draw attention from people.
