Some people might say that it is advantages for students to take classes
11 months in a year in elementary schools. However, I firmly believe that
students have to have classes less than 11
months per year at the age of an elementary student. There are two main reasons why I think that ways; they need
not only time for doing various experience, but also time for finding their talents and interest.
First of all,
when it comes to having different experience, elementary students should have
chance to do some other things that they can’t experience from their regular school
education. These days, students in early age usually only study in their school,
not having other time for doing various experience. They sometimes are sick of
just studying thus easily discouraged. I think it is much more important for
them to experience many things at this period. For example, in vacation time,
they can have extracurricular experience, such as going on a trip to other
countries, volunteering in community services and so on. This will give them more
valuable lessons.
Moreover, as far
as finding their talents and interests is concerned, students at elementary
schools should be allowed to have more time to do other things by taking
classes less than 11 months. There might be a biased prospect that it is
important to study a lot in this period of time. However, they have to know
about themselves. They not only have to focus on study, but also have to figure
out what they are good at and what they are interested in at this time. Therefore,
they need more time to do such things in vacation period.
As I mentioned
above, I think that the education policy that takes less 11 months in a year is
more advantageous to students for the two reasons in the paragraph. Consequently, they should not only focus on
having various experiences but figuring out themselves as
well at this age. |
