Whether or not technology is beneficial for the better quality of lives to human beings raises controversy. While some argue that technology has brought about development to human’s living environment, I strongly disagree. Several disadvantages are attributable to fallout from technology. Misinformation from the internet and environmental pollution from cars support this idea.
To begin with, we should consider uncontrolled information would lead to haphazard consequences to people who seek reliable sources. At first, internet was invented primarily in order to provide with informational sources in an easy and convenient way. For example, when I decided to purchase a laptop, I searched all the shopping malls related to computer devices on the internet. Subsequently, there were too many malls to garner reliable information and their advertisements which said they were the best. In time, I went a review site to read actual customers’ review. Nevertheless, everyone has their own different countless opinions. In result, I went to a department store nearby and bought the cheapest laptop at the store.
Moreover, sometimes technology produced obstacles to human beings life. The purpose of vehicles was that people transport easily from one place to another. However, eventually it was resulted significant traffic jams and chaos from lack of parking spaces. People could not even anticipate the exact time of their arrival. Also finding parking lots led to a lot of time consuming. Besides, if cars were parked against the road law, either car owners should be imposed fine or the cars were towed.
In sum, the idea that technology makes people’s life simpler is unreasonable due to the reason mentioned above.
