Some people say that the news media is a reliable source of unbiased information. I disagree with this opinion for two reasons. First, there are many cases that where news media distorted distort some facts to contribute to maintain govermental power. Second, news media also depends on interviewees.
Most First of all, there are many cases that where the news media distort distorted some facts to empower to the current government. Numerous newspapers in my country, Republic of Korea, has reported reporeted biased journalism of Italy. According to the articles, as the president who has power to adjust media to dominate all of the broadcast system, there are tremendous distorted information on the issues. 한국에서 이런 기사가 났다고 쓰지마시구 그냥 이탈리아에서는 이렇다~고 쓰면 더 좋을 것 같아요 :) In my country, for instrance, since the current government held catched the power, control on the news media has intensified enforced more and more. 2 years ago, many people who had have progressive ideas think were was fired from a lot of journal institutions. Besides, last year, although there were are numerous demonstrations in Seoul, many news media did not report about the them demonstration. Needless to say, some eldely started to beilive that Korea has did not have troubles between with the governemnts and citizens and a the president did well on the policies. Eventually, many university students and professors struggled for reformation of new media to change this absurd. 이 문장은 안쓰는게 더 설득력있을 거 같아요 :) This shows that news media is not always reliable source of unbiased information.
Furthermore, from time to time, news information that came from interviewees are not cannot reliable. Among the articles, there are many things written by journalist who were not told the exact facts from the interviewees. from the normal people who did not tell exact facts to journalists. Let me take my experience for example. When I was a senior in my university, I did an internship in a major newspaper corporation in moy country for 2 months. One day, I got a chance to meet a lawyer. Because he was very promising and intelligent, I thought that it was is okay to fully believe him absolutely. After meeting, I wrote an article and sent the script to my mentor. My article was placed on the third page of the daily news paper in the next day. Unfortunately, every telephone was rushed in my workplace as with inquiries regarding my article. The lawyer did not graduate from Seoul university and lied to me in many aspects. Eventually, I wrote a wroted correction on main page of the online news paper and was fired. In this sense, news meida is not reliable resource all the time.
In conclusion, I disagree that the news media is a reliable resource of unbiased information for the reasons that I have mentioned above.
