Taking a trip to a different country is often a good way to experience diverse cultures. However, due to time-constraints and high cost, ordinary people are less likely to travel and enjoy the difference between their nation and a foreign country. If I had an opportunity to travel to a different country for 2 weeks, I would love to visit Turkey. First, Turkey has a good relationship with my country, Korea, because they helped us during many wars. Furthermore, they have tasty and hot food which is my favorite.
My country, Korea, went through countless wars from numerous civil wars to global wars. Unfortunately, due to ceaseless combats against other country, Korea was worn out and was in a terribly bad condition. Therefore, when we were having a war with Japan, which was Korea's biggest rival, we were losing. However, Turkey offered help, and Korea and Turkey could beat the "crap" out of Japan. Now Koreans consider it the biggest victory ever and tremendously appreciate Turkey's aid. Sadly, there are many poor people who need urgent help due to poverty and starvation in Turkey; therefore, I would want to go to Turkey and pay back their help that they provided in the past by helping those unfortunate people.
Furthermore, Turkey is famous for their spicy food and I am a spicy food lover because the pain I get from eating hot food is pleasing. Therefore, I would go to Turkey and have their "lovely" spicy food cooked by native people. Whenever I eat Turkish dishes with my Turkish friend, she always mentions "Oh, it is too mild compared to native food, I miss my hot and painful Turkish food." I was satiated by Turkish dishes in Korea, but when i heard her comment, I made up my mind to go to Turkey and enjoy the real Turkish food.
Turkey is a country that many Koreans are attached to since they helped our ancestors during countless wars. I want to pay back their heartful help by providing help to poor Turkish citizens. Also, Turkey is famous for spicy food, which is my favorite dish; therefore, I would love to go to Turkey and spend 2 weeks there. |
