Can parents be the best teaches? I agree that statement partially. But I disagree the statement itself. Because it is not said in the sentense that what subject parents teach their children is, and there are obvious separation of what parents can and cannot.
Firstly, parents cannot be great teachers for their children, but great indivisual tutors for manners and experiences of life, because they cannot know everything which their student should be educated expertly. No one can hbe master of everything except for their majority. It is why we can learn various subjects from various experts who with abundant knowledge about their specialties.
Secondly, sometimes students are needed to be handed out punishment for their faults. But parents cannot choose easily punishment for their lovey children. Because the teachers do love their students, unfortunately, they cannot perform everything they can. If there can be students who are extremely strict to themselves so they can point out what is the falut, most of normal students can hardly notice that they are doing wrong, so teachers must be able to guide them to the right way. But parents are restricted of it.
I think every parents should be respected obviously. But there is clear separation of the role of teachers and parents. Parents can be good teachers for their children, but not best teachers. Parents can educate many things for their children, but not everything. There is no 'the best' teacher on the Earth, but just experts are existed. |
