I agree from the bottom of my heart that people are never satisfied with what they have. It is what all people think/agree, do, meaning that it is a trait of all people. It is not right to actually want more, but it is something that we all can not disagree on and one of the reasons why we are called imperfect. It might be morally improper, but not many people can go against this trait and this is why no human being is perfect.
An example of this is someone wanting new things constantly. New kinds of things are made every day, and people start wanting new things. Always the newer ones look better The latest products always seem better and people want to look cool by having the best things. Another trait people have is that they want something better than your friends. For example, if your friend got a new phone, it seems as if your phone is so old all of a sudden. Other people's stuff always looks bigger than yours, and that is how everyone feels. That is why people constantly want new stuff, and the reason why stores make new things with improvements.
There were a lot of times when I wanted new things; it one of these was when I was in 3th grade, when and I got my first phone. It was a new phone that just came out at stores, and I was so proud to have that phone. Then, after 5 months, my friend came up to me dancing. She showed me a new phone which was so much better than mine. Even though my phone was only 5 months old, I wanted a new one. That time I felt like I needed a new phone. I believe that everyone felt this way more than / at least once in their life time. It is really hard to get rid of the temptation you get when you see something new.
It is true that everyone keeps wanting new stuff without noticing what they have right now so far. It is something that we need to get over with. We all have to be satisfied with what we have. However, but it is absolutely true that it is hard to just be satisfied with what you have. |
