Some people may argue that progress is absolutely good. However, I have a different idea. When it comes to the statement that not every progress is good, I have to agree with it.
To begin with, people learn from their failures. The other words, failures or mistakes enable us to advance. Therefore, it can be said that a wide range of trials and errors aid people to gain great lessons. There is a great example supporting this idea. For example, Thomas Edison should have experience a number of failures to create bulbs. Without hardships, he could not reach the unbelievable invention. Thus, I believe that great progress originates from a great deal of obstacles and failures.
In addition, people often ignore the disadvantage of progress. To put it differently, some progress have a negative effect on us. Therefore, it can be said that many adversities may originate from progress. There is a great example supporting this idea. As internet becomes widely used by people, they regard internet as perfect invention for the communication and the research work. However, that illusion has disappointed many people. Hackers gain private information with ease, and even sell the resource for illegal purpose. Thus, people begin to be afraid of using internet. This is the reason why I believe not all progress is good.
All in all, progress may result in unexpected disadvantages. First, we are able to learn more from failure or mistake rather than progress. Second, people may experience many side effect of cutting-edge progress. These are the two most convincing reasons for my contention.
