There is an old saying that "Never judge a book by its cover". However, I am the one who judge the book by a cover. Some people say that there are more than what are just presented outside such as personality and kindness inside the person, but I think the appearance immediately shows everything about a person such as his diligence and relationships he is affected from.
First of all, according to my experiences, people who have good appearance are the ones who are trying to develop themselves always. For example, a laborious person exercised a lot than others and he can maintain his good body fit. So if someone has attracting body, we can assume that he might work a lot, and he is somewhat diligent person. Also, perhaps he is trying to show up their own abilities which are distinguished with other people by training their face expressions and gestures and so on.
Not only that, we may assume a person's relationship with other people by his appearance. It is said that a person becomes resemble the others around him, and I think this is exactly true. For instance, if someone made relationship with a conservative and formal-clothed friend, he would resemble him and he might gradually become formal and conservative so we can assume that the person maybe has a formal and conservative friends. This can occur in opposite way like resembling the radical and casual person.
In a nutshell, I would argue that judging a person by external appearances is rational. The reason is that we can see not only the person's diligent effort to make a good shape, but also how the person makes his relationship with what kind of people. As I mentioned above, I think judging a book by cover is very reasonable. |
