It is often said that doing one project is better than doing more than two projects simultaneously. I strongly disagree with the idea because individuals can learn diverse things at the same time. Furthermore, people can manage time more efficiently when doing a variety of stuff concurrently.
First of all, diverse things can be learned simultaneously. No one can deny that most of students and workers do many different projects at the same time with other people and do different projects with the others. In this sense, if one wants to do one thing finished and then start doing another, he or she might face a situation in which he only can participate in one project while giving up the others. Consequently, students and workers can lose their opportunity to learn other things. Let me take an example of my experience when I was in high school. I took nine subjects on each semester and had four projects on those. So I had to deal with many projects at the same time. I found out that some members who did not participate well in the projects ended up getting bad grades and not understanding about the courses as well. Therefore, it is more beneficial for students to do various projects at the same time.
What is more, those who simultaneously do diverse projects can mange time more efficiently. In most cases, people cannot concentrate on doing one thing in a long time. As a result, they need to have refreshing time more frequently than people doing many things at the same time. Evidence for this comes from a study conducted by Harvard University. According to the study, eighty five percent of students who study one subject for five hours less concentrate on studying than people who study more than two subjects. This study explicitly demonstrates that an individual doing one project can be a waste of one’s time, and this bad habit leads one’s life in an unsuccessful way if it accumulates for a long period.
All things considered, I believe it is better for people to do various things because they can learn many different things at the same time. In addition, they can spent time more efficiently on doing projects, which allows one’s life to succeed. |
