Humans have affected to the Earth in both positive and negative ways. Some people argue that humans have develop the Earth as a place which is good to live. However, I feel that many parts of the Earth have been detrimental for whay humans have done. They harm the Earth environment by exploiting land and using too much natural resources.
To begin with, exploiting land can cause serious problems in the Earth environment. Humans have developed land for building plants, and their agriculture. This developing use of land has given good assets like improvement of industry and food production to mankind otherwise it has cut many trees and eroded fertile land by removing a great deal of forest. Besides, during development of agriculture, farmers have abused too much fertilize which can pollute the Earth environment, and they have also ignited land to broaden their land which is suitable for farming. As a result, many animals have died for over exploiting land that comes from building plants and agriculture, and most places in the Earth have changed to desert.
In addition, using too much natural resources has provoked various pollutions and caused extinction of energy resources in the Earth. Humans have invented many different method of using machines with natural resources in the Earth. It has been successful for humans to use their machines with the resources but using too much resources such as fossil fuels and coals has leaded to lack of natural resources in the Earth. What is more, this human activity has made various pollutions like water and air pollutions. For instance, people have used fossil fuels and coals to operate their plants or cars. When they have operated their plants and cars, there has been a great deal of carbon dioxide emitted from there. So, this activity has caused acid raining which can be regarded as a sort of water pollution or break of oxygen layers in the Earth. Furthermore, following the result of using natural resources, green house effect has been accelerated in the Earth so it has made serious air pollution like global warming.
All in all, though what people have done has been probably good, most of their activities have caused significant problems such as land erosion and various pollutions. Therefore, I believe that human activity has harmed the Earth.
