Some people think that the extended family is not as
crucial now compared to the past. However, in my opinion, The extended family is
more important than nuclear family. This is mainly due to gaining lots of experiences
and relieving stress.
To begin with, people can experience diverse experience
indirectly by having discussion with their parents, grandparents and others in
extended family. The members of extended family is more chance to talk to each
other than nuclear family. I believe experience is one of the most essential
factors of success in this world. Imagine people who have narrow view. They
will be hard to adjust in different environment. By learning and having chance
to discuss with their grandparents who have a widely variety of knowledge and
experiences, people can broaden horizon of the world they live in. For example,
the study was conducted by Seoul National University to determine whether indirect
experiencing could affect for students.to benefit from the chance of finding a
job, There were two groups monitored. The first group were formed of the
students who joined a club. The latter group consisted of the students who did
not any activity and only studied their majors in the library. The researchers
surprisingly found out that the latter groups were significantly more hired by
big companies although the GPA of former groups was higher. The reason was that
students who have abundant social network always communicated with their
colleagues or senior, thus, they could broaden their knowledge and common sense.
So they could fluently introduce themselves during the interview in companies.
On top of that, people can relieve their stress by taking
council when they have problem with their family. Unlike nuclear family, people
can have more chance to talk with their family. So they can express one`s
emotion and trouble easily to their grandparents and others. Having the outlet
for stress has a meaning Itself since it helps one regain energy and fined the
strength to go on. When I was in high school, I lived with my grandparents. So
when I had trouble in school or with my friends, I did often talk to them for
getting solution about it. My grandparents gave me advice whenever I have
problem. So I could feel relaxed and comfortable.
To sum up, one can
regain abundant knowledge and experiences by talking with their family in
extended form. Also, people can have a lot of opportunities to describe their
trouble in their life, so they can be less stressful in the world we live in.
In this regard. I firmly believe that extended family is essential to get back
on track rapidly when they are exhausted.
