▶ Your Answer :
In the reading passage, there is ample support for the author's claim that T-rex was an a scavenger. However, the professor in the lecture gives several reasons as a rebuttal to the author's point.
First, the professor contends that T-rex had predator's teeth. They had dull teeth theeth and the side teeth were sharp which is enough to hunt. This cast doubt on the reading passage's claim that T-rex had teeth theeth of scavenger that eats eat fatty tissue. Next, the professor insists insist that T-rex had a brain structure that is appropriate for a predator. Strong sense of smell which a part of the brain decides decide is very crucial for predators. This is because they bite animals which come into contact. This counters conters the reading passage's assertion about the brain structure of T-rex.
Finally, the professor argues that small eye is not critical components for predators. Although T-rex had small eyes, they had four base eyes that is accurately measure the diameter. This ability helps predator's to capture foods. This refutes the reading passage's suggestion that small eyes of T-rex made them had poor eyesight that is one proof for a scavenger.
