▶ Your Answer : Some people think that
governments should focus on fund the research with respect to environmentally
friendly energy sources or enact laws about preventing the pollution by large
companies. However, I disagree with the idea that governments have to fund the
research about the environments or make laws about reducing the pollution by
companies for the following three reasons. First, we have to have
responsibility for many animals being endangered. Second, supporting the
research is not a role of governments. Third, enacting the laws can cause
economic damages.
First of all, we are
responsible for many animals being endangered. What this means is that many
animals are endangered due to human activity and we have taken or polluted
their natural habitat for development. Without the wild life and animals in the
food chain, we will ultimately suffer because our life is deeply linked to the
ecosystem. According to a recent study done by JYP institute of technology,
many of the animals are being endangered or already extinct from deforestation.
The survey further reveal that if the natural balance is continuously disrupted,
humans will inevitably suffer from hunger and poverty because of the connection
between human life and nature. This clearly shows that we need to take responsibility
for endangered animals because we not only destroy them, but also put ourselves
at risk.
Second, government are not
responsible for supporting research about environmentally friendly energy
sources. To be specific, research is already well supported by other places
such as universities and private companies. Thus, government don’t need to be
an additional supporter. Let me bring my personal story as an example. My company
is related to environmentally friendly energy sources, so I always try to
create products to release in the future. Most of my ideas will never be
released, but I continue to research because I’m getting paid for it by the
company. Once they decide on a product and start selling it they will make a
lot of money so they don’t worry about investments. Also, my company already
earned a lot of money by many environmentally friendly products. Therefore,
there is absolutely no need for extra funding from the government for my
research.
Lastly, enacting laws about
preventing the pollution by large companies can bring negative economic-effects.
If companies produce items, air pollution could be created; however, if the
government enforce the laws, the amount of production will be decreased, which
brings economic-lose. According to a paper which study the negative-effect by
environmental laws, the amount of production of companies that were hindered
production by environmental laws was decreased 50% on average. Also, the author
of the study said that if the government enact the laws continuously, another
negative-effect can be created. This clearly shows that environmental laws can
give rise to economic lose.
In conclusion, we have to try
to solve problems about animals due to being related to our hunger. Also,
government shouldn’t support research about the environment, and enacting laws
about preventing the pollution can make economic lose. In this regard, I
strongly insist that the government have to protect animals and plants. |
