▶ Your Answer : As interest in the education increases, subjects which are learned in school are very important these days. Some people suggests children should have art and mandatory school subjects along with math, history, science and language. In my opinion, however, I think art and music do not need to be studied as a mandatory subjects. First of all, having art and music as mandatory school can make children harder. Children are already too hard to study original subjects like math, history and science. In this situation, it would be big burden to children have art and music as mandatory subjects. Also it makes children be tired of the studying and less focus on original mandatory subjects. For instance, one of my friends went many academies because their parents wanted their child to get good grades. If art and music had been mandatory school subjects, their parents would have try to let her go more academies. Maybe this story is not limited to her. Furthermore, it is not match with the reality. Many materials like brushes, papers, instruments are needed to attend the class of art and music. We should consider various children who do not have enough money. It means some children does not have enough money to buy more implements. For example, my friend does not have many money, She already spent much money to buy books for other subjects like math, history, science, and were hard to spend these money. If music and art had been mandatory school subjects, she should have extra money to attend these classes. Also, if government try to help these children, it is unlikely to support all of them because of the cost. To sum up, there are many problems if art and music are became a mandatory school subjects. In this regard, I assert art and music just remain hobbies not mandatory school subjects for children. |
