Many science journals represent that cars will be disappeared in twenty years and replaced with several alternative means of transportations. Some people in these days even agree on it because a number of countries are implementing actually campaigns to extirpate the use of cars in their communities. However, in my opinion, I think cars will still be made use of by human beings even after twenty years for the following two reasons.
To begin with, people will not be able to utilize the novel methods of transportation in twenty years. Even many experts in automobile industry have suggested that the use of cars will diminish due to the dearth of fossil fuels, the standing of automobiles has not been changed at all. Despite of constant discoveries of alternative resources, people keep concentrate on car manufacture. This is because the creation of alternative transportation such as electrical bicycle or wave fuel subways are having difficulties with being commercialized due to less efficiency of recycle energies. To be specific, in Korea, many researchers eagerly tried to exterminate the era of car for several decades because the price of petroleum was soaring. However, because of the fact that the fossil fuel outdo natural resources in terms of energy efficiency, many institutions have quit developing replacement. Furthermore, one of the renowned professor in Berkeley University once admitted that cars will be in our society for at least fifty years more.
On top of that, there is no other type of transportations for people to reach their destination conveniently. Cars are the most suited vehicle to bring passengers to the exact location such as Building4500 in 9th avenues. Unlike individual cars, other transportations are limited to designated station, requiring people to walk or take another vehicles to get the end point. As long as the other means are not emerged to displace the capacity of cars, they are going to be kept operated by people. For instance, my city has launched the operation of the electrical subways to motivate citizens to avoid driving cars. People are seemed to be satisfied with new vehicles at first, however, when they noticed that they had to take taxies or additional walking, they turned back to their cars. Even though they knew taking new subways are conducive to protect the environment and energy saving, they did not want to consume more time to travel by taking unnecessary exerts.
To sum up, it is unlikely that new types of transportation to supersede the car will spring up to our society. It has been challenging for many institutions to invent the replacement with natural energies. Also, only cars are optimized to have passengers to get their accurate destinations. Other vehicles require them to take additional efforts to get there. In this regard, I think cars are still be used in our society.
