To begin with, young people living today's world have more chances to get a good education. Nowadays, young people can take a lecture anywhere due to the development of the internet.(Suggest example) It means young people living today’s world can get a chance to take a lecture no matter where they live. However, their parents would have no chance if they were in a rural area when they were young since there was no internet. For example, a statics from the Korean Ministry of Education that was made in 2013 clearly shows that young people living today’s world have a better chance to get education. In this statics, only 31 percent of young people in 1988 had extra education such as an educational institute or a private lesson. However, in 2011, almost 77 percent of students take an extra classes and 56 percent of them took the classes via the internet. This clearly shows that young people living in today’s world live in a better situation thanks to the widespread of the internet.
Another reason I strongly suggest this idea is that today’s world is safer (Too broad) for young people than in the past. In the past, the crime rate against young people was high, and young people were often kidnapped or raped. However, these crimes are disappearing due to the widespread use of the CCTV. For instance, the crime rate poll from the Korean Police Department clearly shows the world is safer for young people than the past. The crime rate has been diminishing. In 1980s, crimes occurred 539,321 per year, and 43 percent of crimes were against young people(under 30 years old.) However, the rate has decreased to 198,222 per year in the 2010s, and only 11 percent of crimes were against young people. This clearly shows the world is better for young people than the past due to the decreased crime rate.
In conclusion, In my country, young people living in today’s world have a better life than their parents enjoyed when they were young. This is because they can enjoy a better chance to get education due to the widespread use of the internet, and they can live safer due to the decrease of the crime rate. In this sense, I strongly contend that young people have a better life today than their parents enjoyed when they were young in my country.
