News media is important tool that connect citizens and the world. At first glance, it may seem like the news media is trustworthy source of unprejudiced information. However, I strongly believe that the news media, which often broadcast biased reports, is not always reliable for two crucial reasons. To begin with, news media tends to conceal certain news of governmental mistakes. Revealing governmental mistakes can lead to low support rate of nation. Low support rates of government means lessen power of officials, and this can decrease government officials' patronization on news press; thus, news press cannot freely report governments' failure. For example, the biggest broadcasting company in Korea, MBC, concealed the former president Lee's mistakes. The president Lee had continued big construction to build national dam but consequently it resulted serious pollution and deforestation. However, MBC did not broadcast it during the president's reign. As a result, citizens didn't know that catastrophic c consequence for three years by concealment of news media. On top of that, news media sometimes fabricate false news intentionally to mobilize people politically. Some right-winged internet media news company proliferate fake reports about war and try to make people shout nationalism. For instance, a small internet news media sent fake news message about war to my grandmother's mobile phone. My grandmother, who doesn't have media literacy, simply trusted that information and scrap to many of her friends that big war will happen soon. Consequently, not only her friends but also many people who received false news message go to demonstration to shout nationalism and support the strengthening the country with weapons. As this example validates, news media sometimes release wrong information purposefully to control citizens under their ideology. For the two crucial reasons I mentioned above, I firmly believe that the news media are mostly unreliable source of information.

unreliable untrustworthy biased prejudice
- fabricate false news existsintentionally --internet news e.g. my grandmother - northkorea preparing war - to 세뇌시키다 people politically
- news media conceal some news that people fluctuate --news media conceal governmental mistakes e.g. take small portion of white cr, but highlights small blue crime. former presdent. Lee - big environ. construction for dam
Since news presses are often patronized by wealthy people who related with the present governments, news media can't easily reveal governments' mistakes and failure.
