Some people might say that people can deal
with all problems on their own. These people say the role of government should
be decreased. However, I personally believe that people need government’s aid
for many issues. There are two reasons.
To begin with, there are many cases that
they can’t control with just few people. To be specific, the society can face unpredictable
problems that can affect to all of the citizens. If it causes negative effects,
they can destroy the society and people will be confused. For example, in
Korea, there was infectious disease named ‘novel influenza’. Many people
contracted this disease, and some people died. It is serious problem in the
society. Citizens were surprised and didn’t know what they to do. Fortunately, Korea
government prepared this situation and controlled people well. This good handle
made people could keep calm and the disease was vanished soon. This case shows
the importance of government. Like this big issues, government should manage
the problems.
On top of that, good welfare for citizens
can be formed by government. To be specific, for great condition of lives,
people need well managed parks, forests and rivers. Government should make the
rules of managing these kinds of welfare. For instance, there was a survey
conducted by a group of administration majors of Yonsei university, with 400
adults as respondents. The purpose of the survey was to understand their
thought about the relationship between the government’s welfare and the quality
of life. A majority of respondents replied that aid of government is necessary for
keeping good condition of nature. An overwhelming 70% responded that the
welfare of green city can help them to improve their quality of life. This
survey proves that citizens feel the necessity need of government to the issues
of welfare.
To sum up, the government can manage the
big issues that can cause harmful results. Moreover, government can handle the
welfare issues by erecting rules. In this regard, I firmly believe that there
cannot be a country without the government’s support.
