▶ Your Answer : When I was a high school student, I ruined my Korean SAT because I did not check OMR. I answered the right question, but I forgot to check the answer I checked in OMR was right or wrong. As a result, my grade falls from 93 to 71. I strongly reminded that I should check this twice in a next exam. However, I did not check my answer paper in the next test, so my results were devastating. There are controversial about why people make mistakes. Someone says that they make a mistake because they do not learn from experiences, others argue that it is because they have not enough concentration to cope with. However, I strongly believe that this is because they do not have enough time. That is, hasty decisions are never the right things. This is because this decision makes people to miss details of options. When people face a situation to decide quickly, they neglect details of this problem. These details contain the valuable information which can be a benefit or poison. This is because they cannot see this when they decide something quickly. Because people tend to make a hasty decision when they have no time to decide something, this can be applied to the situation when they decide impatiently. A study conducted by the Psychological Research Center of Harvard University shows that impatient in making a decision makes a failure. The researcher grouped subjects to two group randomly, and they gave the same tricky question to them. The only difference between the two group was the time they have. The first group had to solve the problem within one minute, and another group had to solve this within 3 minutes. The result was quite surprising. While 70% of the second group solve the problem correctly, no one solves this problem correctly in the first group. In the poll after the conduct finished, over 80% in the first group says that they missed details of the problem because they have to make a hasty decision. Consider they had no average IQ difference, and it can be applied on a hasty decision, this conduct can be considered as an example of how a hasty decision is harmful. To sum up, hasty decisions are never the right things because it blinds the eye of people which distinguish the details of the problem. Also, it has proven by the research from the Harvard psychological research center. All things considered, I firmly believe that hasty decision is never the right thing.
