There has been an argument regarding the issue of whether cars have brought a bigger effect There has been an argument regarding the issue of whether cars have brought a bigger effect on society than planes. Some people claim that planes have had a more significant influence on society than cars. From my perspectives, however, cars have brought much greater changes to society. In this essay, I will present two reasons to support my idea. To begin with, the number of cars is incomparably greater than the number of planes. This indicates that more cars are have been produced, purchased, and used by people than planes. And also it shows how much we are familiar with cars. According to statistics, each Korean family has 1.2 cars at home. We ride cars almost every day, but we do not ride planes that often. Also, I have my personal experience to explain this, when I go out, I can see cars almost everywhere such as roads, apartments, and even department stores. This proves that cars and humans have inseparable relationships. On top of that, cars have caused more serious problems than planes in terms of environment. CO2, which is produced by car engines, has polluted the atmosphere by contributing to global warming. And it also damages numbers of birds. Moreover, it contaminates the sea and earth. As it mixed with rain and fall down on the ocean and ground, it damages a lot of marine organisms and water. According to many researchers, one of the most significant pollutants of the environment is CO2 produced by cars. Innumerable numbers of cars damage our environment by generating thousands of tons of CO2. Taking everything into consideration, the greater number of cars are produced and are familiar with people. Besides, cars have brought many environmental problems than planes. Therefore, I strongly believe that cars have had a more significant influence on society than planes. | |
