▶ Your Answer : Some people think that it is better to save money for the future rather than spending money on trips. However, in my opinion, traveling is more important than just saving money. There are two reason for this.
To begin with, people can have rewarding experiences through traveling. There is a saying that "You can do anything you want as long as you have a lot of money". But that is not true. People can not buy someone's memorable experiences. For example, when my father was young, because his family was poor, he saved his money all the time for the future. As time went by, he could save plenty of money to get married and to feed his family including me. However, since he had to feed his family, he spent lots of money on caring his family. So he never had a chance to go on a single trip. He always told me that he regrets that he did not go on a trip and told me I should go on a trip because he never had an opportunity to have rewarding experience through traveling.
On top of that, people can have wider prospective by going on trips. People can see different culture, people and food while traveling. Through that people can widen their point of view. There was a survey conducted by UCLA, with 200 people as respondents. The purpose of the survey was to understand how traveling affect on people's prospective. The majority of respondents replied that traveling is helpful for extending their viewpoint.
To sum up, people can not only have priceless experiences by traveling but also people can broaden their prospective. In this regard, spending money on trips is more beneficial than saving for the future. |
