The way of teaching for students is often high-profile issue. One
of the mainly remarkable issues is what is important for students:
understanding ideas and concepts versus learning the facts. In my opinion, I
think that former is better than latter for following two subsequent reasons.
To begin with, such methods can make students recognize some
concepts efficiently. Someone who reads
my TOEFL essay clearly would not feel euphoric when the lecturer merely
enumerates some facts in the class, and so are the students. Thus, rather than
telling the fact, the various actives for understanding the ideas help the
children improve their brainpower. For example, in my childhood, I studied
earlier the fraction from boring private education before I learned it in
school. However, I seemed to aware it more accurately during the school due to
the exciting game; If the teacher said the fraction - 2/5, then pupil divided
the bread as five loaves and then takes two loaves of them.
Second, such methods can determine for students whether
information around them is true or not. Unfortunately, some kinds of
information may be incorrect . In order to copy with the situation , it is
necessary for students to understand some ideas or concept. For example, An
experiment - whether or not the air exists weight - was uploaded in the famous
science website. Then, an student indicated that the experiment did not proper
to realize the hypothesis because of disregarding the buoyancy at each step of
experiment. Since he was well known to the buoyancy by making mini submarine
manually, his comments on the site were logical and finally the manager on the
website replaced the problematic experiment with another one.
To sum up, because students can recognize some concepts
effectively and determine the truth of information, I think that it is more
important for students to understand ideas and concepts. |
