▶ Your Answer : In recent times, some people assert that
children don't have to have art and music as mandatory school subjects.
However, I have an opposite view on this. The rationale behind this is that art
and music help students socialize with others and broaden their horizons. To begin with, I personally believe that
students should be educated to music and art because they make students
associate with people easily. Of course, I am aware that art and music subjects
are not the only means of mixing with others, however, in my opinion, I think
they are one of the most useful and helpful methods of doing so. Let me give
you an example related to my personal experience. When I moved to new country,
I couldn't socialize with my classmates. At that time, I showed them pictures
which I draw in art class and they are willing to pay attention to it. If I had
not learned drawing skills in art class, I would not have been accustomed with
my classmates. On top of that, I firmly mention that
students should be taught to art and music subjects because they allow for
broadening their perspectives. Many people already know that music and art are
indispensable in the world. We are able to obtain knowledge through art and
music and I think this knowledge is directly related with variable subjects. To
be specific, we are capable of knowing history of the world by studying arts
because a lot of prominent artists draw their arts as means of expressing
reality and circumstance at that time. This demonstrates that art and music are
applied to widespread extent of subjects. Taking all of these things into account,
children should be educated to art and music as compulsory subjects in terms of
getting along with others and having wide knowledge.
