▶ Your Answer : We have been learning about the past for decades. The past has given people something valuable so that people could get through tough things when they are in difficulties. From this view, I believe that learning about the past has value for those of us living in the present. To begin with, by reviewing the mistakes which was made in the past, we cannot repeat those mistakes. There's a Korean saying 'mistakes is a mother of success'. My experience is a good example of this. Last year, I failed the test for the university that I wanted to go. The cause is that I studied wrong. Eventually, I had decided to try again and fixed the way of my study. The way is that I had to focus on something that I was weakened. By doing so, I realized that what my weakness was, and could come out solutions for this. Finally, I passed the test by the highest scores. If I had not learned the mistakes in the past, I could not have passed the test and entered the university.
On top of that, the past give us how we live and get through difficulties. It is the most important things because we can realize the best way for this from the past. South Korea's situation is the best example of this. 3 years ago, Korean President Park was impeached because she did something wrong, such as corruption and dictation. Few decades ago, there were times when the people demonstrated against the government, which had done hard on the people. Finally, the people were able to return our country into democratic. From the past, the people in 2016 did same things as they did at the time. Our people fought against the government, and we brought back peace. If it had not been for some lessons from the past, the people would not have done same things and eventually now we end up living in an unjust society
