▶ Your Answer :
Undoubtedly, the government's investment
plays a significant role in people's daily lives in many of the places where
they work or play. some people think that it is better for governments to spend
money to improve public transportation than to improve Internet access, while
others do not. Both sides may have their reasons to support their views. If I
were asked to choose one, I would say that governments have to spend money to
improve Internet access rather than improve public transportation. There is a
reason as follows.
To begin with, when governments spend more
money to improve internet access, people can broaden their horizons because of
high-speed and high-quality Internet access that can connect with foreign
people. with the use of Internet access, It can expose them to different
cultures, customs, lifestyles. Such exposure tends to help them to acknowledge
that different values exist, to understand this diversity, and to be
comfortable with it. For example, when I was in high school, I saw one of my
classmates from Ethiopia eating his meal with bare hands. I felt very
uncomfortable by his behavior because it was my first time seeing someone like
that. I kept my distance from him and sometimes made fun of him. However, I got
used to his culture difference and eating styles after hung out with lots of
foreign people different from countries who could be connected to the improved
Internet in our city because of the new policy of the government that spends
more money to improve Internet access. I realized that we just had different
eating styles. In fact, we had in common in a way that we all cared about our
family and friend, were committed to relationships, and got easily hurt by what
others say. Naturally, I apologized to him with respect to making fun of him,
and then I no longer feel awkward and can make friends with keep in touch with
them thanks to the high-quality Internet. Without spending more money to
improve access by governments, I would still have been felt uncomfortable and
be narrow horizons.
All things considered, I strongly believe
that spending money to upgrade Internet access by governments is more essential
than to improve public transportations for this reason I have mentioned. All in
all, the importance of the improvement of Internet access cannot be
overestimated in pursuit for success in life.
